Joëlle Badman – Education Program Manager

Joëlle Badman is the Education Program Manager with The Roméo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative, where she manages education programs focused on preventing the use and recruitment of child soldiers and radicalization leading to violence. Prior to joining the Dallaire Initiative, Joëlle worked as a Community Building Social Worker at the City of Edmonton where she worked on issues related to public safety and crime prevention, as well as on the development of a municipal-wide gender-based violence and sexual assault strategy. She has worked extensively with both NGO and public sectors across Canada, on local, provincial and international projects with a focus on public engagement and interdisciplinary practice. She holds a Master of Social Work with a specialization in International & Community Development from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) from the University of New Brunswick.
