The Roméo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative began working with the security sector and civil society in Sierra Leone in 2012 to develop a holistic approach to preventing the recruitment and use of child soldiers. This report examines the Dallaire Initiative’s work over the past two years to train Sierra Leonean security sector personnel, integrate doctrine and training, and develop education programs.
